Office interior design is a circulation problem before it is a color problem. Fix the workstation grid, the walkways and the chair pull-back and a floor works; miss them and no finish schedule rescues the room. This page sets out a commercial fit-out in working numbers: desk depths and clearances that pass a site walk, materials specified for daily wear, executive suites that stay sharp in year three, and order mechanics that start at 10 pieces per catalogue model, from a 20-desk studio to a 2,000-desk program.

Rarely the desk model; more often the grid the desks sit in. Three decisions carry a floor: the workstation grid, the storage line, and the separation between the parts that talk and the parts that think.
Workstation width runs 120–160 cm per person, desk depth 70–80 cm, and desktop height 73–75 cm so a task chair fits under every position. Meeting-room count follows headcount, and storage sits on the same drawing because storage depth sets the desk line. The compact-floor numbers are in our small office interior design guide, and the single-room logic scales down to a home office.
An office fit-out is a document set as much as a look: a floor plan, a finish schedule, a bill of quantities with sizes, and a signed reference sample, agreed before anything is cut. Most briefs arrive from an interior design office or a fit-out contractor, and phasing decides the order book: reception and two meeting rooms against the first handover, the open floor against the second. Nail the grid, the storage line and the document set, and the rest is execution.

Below is the line sheet our export team quotes from; the MOQ column holds one rule on every row.
| Item | Dimensions | Frame | Upholstery | Filling | Hardware | Customizable | MOQ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Task desk | 140–160 cm wide, 70–80 cm deep, 73–75 cm high | Kiln-dried larch, CNC cut | Laminate, veneer or melamine top | None | Cable grommet, under-desk tray | Size, top, edge finish | 10 pieces per model |
| Bench desk position | 120–160 cm wide per person, 70–80 cm deep | Kiln-dried larch, CNC cut | Laminate, veneer or melamine top | None | Shared cable spine, grommets | Pod length, top, finish | 10 pieces per model |
| Mobile pedestal | 40–45 cm wide, 55–60 cm high | Plywood or steel | Upholstered top optional | Foam where upholstered | Lock, castors | Color, top | 10 pieces per model |
| Storage wall | 35–40 cm deep, 200–210 cm high | Larch carcass, 18 mm back panel | Veneer, laminate or melamine | None | Soft-close hinges, runners | Bays, doors, finish | 10 pieces per model |
| Low sideboard | 45 cm deep, 75–80 cm high | Larch carcass | Textured lacquer or veneer | None | Soft-close doors | Color, length | 10 pieces per model |
| Task chair | Seat 42–48 cm, adjustable | Aluminum or nylon base | Aniline leather past 50,000 Martindale or tech fabric | Foam at 45 kg/m3 or above | Gas lift, armrests | Color, base, arms | 10 pieces per model |
| Visitor chair | Seat 45–47 cm | Cantilever steel or larch | Leather, fabric or mesh | Molded foam | Glides | Frame, upholstery | 10 pieces per model |
| Meeting table | 160–240 cm long, 73–75 cm high | Kiln-dried larch, CNC cut | Veneer or laminate | None | Cable flap | Length, shape, finish | 10 pieces per model |
Four clearances decide whether a floor passes a site walk: 90–120 cm walkways, 75–90 cm behind an occupied task chair, 50–70 cm eye to screen, art at 145–150 cm. Meetings budget 2.0–2.5 m2 per seat. Check the plan against these figures first and the site walk holds no surprises.

Treat every finish as a wear-surface decision; an office tests materials the way a home never does.
Desktops carry keyboards, mugs and daily wiping, so melamine and laminate dominate open-plan floors; veneer carries the grain an executive level wants. Seating is decided by two lines: top-grain aniline leather past 50,000 Martindale cycles or a tech fabric to your article, over foam at 45 kg/m3 or above under 5% deformation across a ten-year service life.
An executive suite is four upgrades rather than a separate catalogue: the leather and foam grades above, a veneered or lacquered desk top, and a chair that holds its shape at the arm and the seat front. Those four are what a visitor actually touches.
Leather wants a dry cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner twice a year; tech fabric wants vacuuming rather than shampooing; laminate and melamine want a non-abrasive cloth. Compliance is documented per order: ISO 9001 quality management, FSC-sourced wood, EPA/CARB environmental standards; the current documents sit on our factory page. Choose surfaces for how they wipe down, not just how they photograph.

Catalogue models start at 10 pieces per model per color SKU, a floor that is per model, not per order. Custom and OEM work starts from one 20GP container. Bulk production runs 30–45 days from the specification freeze, not the inquiry date. Payment is 30% T/T on confirmation, balance before shipment; warranty runs 3–5 years per order confirmation; Incoterms are written per order on FOB or CIF, no DDP. Customs AEO status, held since 2019, keeps paperwork moving to more than 50 countries.
Samples approve through PPS, cover-only or finish panels, with days and fee on the sample order. The same mechanics run hospitality orders in our hotel furniture MOQ and lead times guide; mixed non-standard orders fall under custom and OEM MOQ and lead time. Freeze the specification early and the delivery date becomes arithmetic rather than a promise.
Five steps, each ending in a signature; the clock starts at step two, not at your first message.
The joinery, upholstery and inspection lines behind steps three and four are on our factory facts and craftsmanship page. Follow the steps in order and you always know which document comes back to you next.

Two different buyers read this page, so here is the line.
We supply project quantities. Our minimum order is 10 pieces per catalogue model (custom and OEM work starts from one 20GP container), and we work with hotels, developers, offices and trade buyers. We do not sell single pieces or retail orders. If you need one or two items for your own home, we are not the right supplier – but the designs on this page are still yours to use.
Where the line sits:
One desk for a spare room is a retail purchase; ten desks or a floor of matching workstations is a sourcing project. Building the route yourself, how to buy furniture from China remotely walks the process end to end; importers stocking a range work through our wholesale furniture programs. Send quantities with the inquiry and the first reply back is already a quotation.
The same specification scales across every type we deliver: open-plan floors in workstation grids, executive suites in one finish family, meeting suites and receptions, from a 20-desk studio to roll-outs past 2,000 desks.
Shipping is planned backwards from the opening date: sample approval, production, inspection, booking, then a loading plan that keeps each floor in its own crate group, packed volume per SKU on the quotation.
Frames are kiln-dried larch cut on CNC, wood is FSC-sourced, compliance runs to EPA/CARB, production is audited under ISO 9001. Durability is the cheapest sustainability lever: furniture that survives its service life is not rebuilt at year four.
Three recur. Specifying a walkway under 90 cm and losing circulation to the corridor. Buying storage after the workstations, when storage depth sets the desk line. Approving a finish from a phone photograph instead of a swatch, then finding the batch sits warmer than the screen. Catch all three at specification stage and the punch list stays short.
A floor plan is easier to judge standing next to the furniture. The showroom is factory-integrated, inside the same 100,000 m2 production base in Longjiang, Foshan where more than 500 craftsmen build every order, with 20,000 m2 of live displays across four zones. Zone A is the Living Gallery, with workstation, executive and meeting settings staged as finished rooms; Zone B covers Sleep & Comfort; Zone C is the Material Lab, with 100+ Italian leather swatches; Zone D is the Contract Negotiation Lounge for specification and terms. Visits run Monday to Saturday, 9:00–18:00 (GMT+8), Sundays by appointment. We arrange a complimentary private transfer from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN) and hotel rooms at corporate rates. Message WhatsApp +86 134 1329 4494 with your dates, or send them through the Foshan showroom visit agenda page. Bring the floor plan and a short list of target finishes, and one afternoon in the showroom can replace weeks of email sampling.

Office interior design comes down to decisions a tape measure can check: a workstation grid at 120–160 cm per person, walkways at 90–120 cm, storage deep enough for its contents, and materials chosen as wear surfaces. At project scale the sequence is short: plan, specification freeze, samples, inspection, shipping, with 30–45 days from the freeze and terms written per order. Comparing sourcing trips in the Pearl River Delta, our Lecong furniture showroom guide explains why the showroom sits inside the factory; the company behind it is on our about page.
The minimum order is 10 pieces per catalogue model, per color SKU, and the floor applies per model rather than per order, so mixed orders across models are normal. Custom and OEM work starts from one 20GP container.
Yes, approval before production is standard: PPS samples, cover-only samples or finish panels confirm material and color before bulk cutting. Days and fee are written on each sample order.
Yes, visits run Monday to Saturday, 9:00–18:00 (GMT+8), Sundays by appointment, and most project buyers should see the line before ordering it. Message WhatsApp +86 134 1329 4494 with your dates; a complimentary private transfer from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN) and corporate-rate hotel options come with it.
An office order takes 30–45 days of bulk production from the specification freeze, not from the inquiry date. The freeze locks the signed sample, dimensions, finishes and hardware; changing any of them restarts the clock.
We ship to more than 50 countries, on Incoterms written per order, FOB or CIF; we do not provide DDP. Payment is 30% T/T on confirmation, balance before shipment; warranty runs 3–5 years per the order confirmation.
We build to your drawings and to catalogue models alike: catalogue models cover most floors through size and finish variants at the 10-piece-per-model floor, while non-standard dimensions or a client-branded reception suite are OEM work from one 20GP container.
